Introducing Baby Smith!

Yesterday, was the big reveal.  We had our first ultrasound and found out that we are having a wonderfully active Baby BOY!!!  He kicks and flexes and seems to think he's trapped.  He does seem to like to snuggle into the placenta but also likes to stretch out as far as he can. We can't wait to meet him!!

Christmas!!

This holiday has been so wonderful. It fake snowed, we got so cold our electric bill is sky high, and the apartment smells like cookies!  OK I know only two of those seemed like good things but at least we were warm.  Today we venture off to the Smith holiday christmas party, to have a bit of fun with ugly ornaments and lots of food!  After that we travel down to old Forest Grove to visit with my family.  We all have new christmas jammies so look out for that crazy picture.
The belly is getting bigger daily. I seem to wake up everyday to a different size belly looking back at me. We are very excited for next week when we get a 3D ultrasound!  We have been very eager to know if we are expecting a boy or a girl.  Of course, being the weirdos that we are we have bought stuff for both sexes.  Just so we are all clear on the predictions...I think it will be a girl, Jesse thinks it is a boy, Mom and Dani won't call it anything but a he, and everyone else seems to have no opinion.  Make your predictions and we will tell you the good news next week.  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Introducing The Smith's

After much prodding and poking from our parents we have finally created our own blog. We plan on telling you every little detail of our lives, for instance... 6:30 am woke up, 8:30 am made french toast, 9:00 am took a shower, had enough well good me too. We are not very eventful, in fact we have prematurely fallen into that boring old married couple faze of life. We are also prematurely old, retiring to bed around 9:00 pm as often as possible. As you can see we are the most exciting people you know. Here are a few exciting facts about our lives... We are recently married and living in Sherwood, OR above neighbors that shower every hour on the hour for an hour (how they do it we don't know). We are also growing in size daily, yes we are getting fat, although I'm pregnant so I guess that's okay. Jesse claims he has sympathy pregnancy symptoms and uses this as his excuse. We are very excited to be parents, although we know it will be incredibly challenging it is a challenge we look forward to.
