Coming Home...But Where Do We Live???

Yeah for finally coming home.  It seems like the hospital holds you hostage after a while.  We were so ready to leave.  I missed Zacheroo way too much!!

We had one day to rest and then we started moving.  We have been waiting to move into a lower level apartment for almost a year and they finally offered us one but we had to be moved in one week.  We were a little crazy for taking this on but it was so worth it.  We love our new place.  We had so many amazing people help us move.  Kaelie tackled a few car loads all on her own.  Many women from the relief society came over to pack up our kitchen and ended up packing almost the entire place.  Richard helped almost every night, moving anything and everything.  We are so grateful to all these wonderful people.  They made our transition easy and blessed our lives with their examples of service.

The Day You Were Born

Olivia Nichole Smith
April 5, 2012
7 pounds 7 ounces
20 inches

We were so happy to see her.  This experience was so calm and relaxing compared to Zachie's birth.  We had so much energy and were ready to hold her and love her.  When she first came out and started to cry, she reminded us of a little duck.  Since then, we have learned that she can imitate just about any animal on the farm.  This girl is talented!

This is little miss within minutes of entering the world.  She was our bright eyed girl ready for anything, especially food.  She couldn't wait for us to get back to the room so that she could get some food.  Sadly, this want hasn't turned into a super eater.  She gets very distracted and forgets that she was eating before she found that spot on the wall.

 The proud Daddy!

While we were off having a baby, Zachie was chillin' out at home with Grandma.  We received this picture while we were waiting to go to the operating room.  What a handsome man in his secret agent jammies.

Yeah for family!!!

Yeah For Baby Day

Tomorrow is the day!  We are so excited, slightly nervous but mostly just happy.  I have been having pretty strong contractions since Tuesday afternoon, but nothing has come of them, just pain.

We had a pre-op appointment on Tuesday which calmed my nerves a little.  I was able to talk with an anesthesiologist about all my concerns and he was able to explain exactly what will happen.  It was great.  He said I am completely normal being nervous.  The second time is totally different from the first.  Which makes sense, emergency versus planned.  The only thing that set my nerves on end was when he would reassure me that it would be nice and slow and we would have all the time in the world to get it done.  How is that supposed to comfort me!!??  My main fear is lying there not being able to move.  So how would prolonging that comfort me!

I just hope I can keep myself calm.  Once little miss is out I will get to have her right next to me, the perfect distraction.  I tried to go to sleep after Zachie was out last time so I don't quite remember that half of the surgery.

We go in at 9 tomorrow morning and get to play the waiting game until noon.  I think Jesse and I will have a Yahtzee tournament while we wait, woo whoo!!

I'm going to miss Zachie while I am in the hospital.  I have only been away from him for 5 hours max, and I left him with Jesse whenever that happened.  I am grateful for all the wonderful friends we have who are watching Zachie.  I will not have much to worry about while he is with them.  I will just miss him.

I made lots of treats today for my wonderful boys.  I hope they aren't in sugar commas when I come back.  But everyone deserves a treat when life changes drastically.

Just so I remember all the names we have in mind I wanted to make a little list:

Amelia
Emmeline
Elizabeth
Olivia

There are a few more but these are our favorites.  We will see if any of those feel right for this little girl.  Yeah for Baby Day!!

The Tale Of The Orange Hat

The week little miss was born Zachie found an orange hat.  This hat was in the hall closet, which for some reason had become Zachie's office or something.  He went there multiple times a day just to open the door, look in, and close the door.  Well, one time he opened the door and a magical orange hat appeared.  If anyone knows Zachie, they know he is obsessed with red and orange.  Once he found out it was a hat, it was his and had to be on his head.  He wore it throughout the whole week.  Every time we left the house, including when he visited us in the hospital.  He is a cutie and I love his fun personality! Here are the many faces of Zachie...
