Fun in the Sun

Well, once it actually got warm around here we purchased a little kiddie pool for our balcony. We have a great little playground outside our apartment but sometimes you just want to cool down in the pool. Zachie loves the water and having fun outside so this is a perfect fit for him. We got him a romper swimsuit. I love this little suit, and now he knows what to expect when he gets it on so we have to be ready with the water! In the pools off hours we like to use it as a discovery pool. We fill it with something different every week and he gets to play and explore in the living room. His favorites so far are pasta and blocks.

4th of July Ward Breakfast

This was such a fun day. Last fourth of July Zachie practically slept through the whole day including the fireworks. We also didn't make it to the breakfast last year so we were really excited to go this year. The breakfast was so yummy. We had pancakes, eggs, mountains of fruit, and little smokies. Zachie of course had a great time running around and exploring this new park.

We had never brought him to this park because of the edges that dropped off into water or just dropped off, so he had to explore. Of course, this meant he went up to every edge trying to get across or see where it went, AHHHH! He had fun running around with Anna and eating all the food.

He found himself a little camping chair and sat so nicely in it for a good 5 minutes.

Someone commented on Anna and Zachies outfits saying," Some kids where tablecloths and some kids where flags." Writing that out doesn't make it sound that funny but we had a good laugh.

Next up.... The rest of fourth or July!

Rows and Rows of Tulips!

Absolutely Beautiful! Yesterday, Nicole, Anna, Zachie and I went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival.  It was a great day.  The sun came out when we got there and the day just kept getting better and better.  The babies got nice and muddy as did we (but they had extra clothes unlike us).

At one point, the babies weren't too happy about sitting in the mud (humm imagine that) but trusty Quaker rice snacks appear and all is well once again.  Anna is the ultimate food thief. She is so cute to watch.  If your food is in reach and you aren't eating it, well, she may just sneak in a relieve you of your tasty treat.

The goofy duo!!

Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the day...

The Childrens Museum

We had so much fun at the childrens museum last month. Their new exhibit is Curious George right now and Zachie thought he was pretty exciting. We go to take Anna and Nicole with us too. It was later at night but the babies had a lot of fun looking at all the crazy things at the museum. They even got to go to their first concert, otherwise known as two guys singing songs about the alphabet but it was fun.

This is the baby room. Zachie loves playing in the little puddles on this table. Looks like Anna was liking it too!

This was part of the Curious George exhibit. This kid just loves opening and closing doors. I'm so glad our cupboards don't have handles or we would have a lot of trouble with finger smashing.

Anna looks so cute! She was having fun looking at the mirror on the flower table. I didn't get a picture of it but there is a big aquarium in this room that these two couldn't keep their eyes or hands off of. The fish were pretty colors and one fish provoked a lot of second glances, he was bent in the middle and therefore couldn't swim the way a fish generally swims. It was one of the strangest sights of the night.

Splish Splash!

Zach had his first official big boy bath today! He's never really taken a bath before.  We have always taken him in the shower...which he thoroughly enjoys.  The first time we tried to put his naked little tush in the bathtub, it sounded like we were torturing him.  So we swore off any further bath adventures.  I don't know what was in the air today or why we decided to take another crack at the ol' bathtub but Zach had a blast.  He splashed and tried to eat everything, he found the drain and the little metal circle thingy under the faucet.  He prefers to sit close to the faucet and play with the water as it comes down.  Jesse and I both have just wonderful experiences from our childhood bath days..ha.  Zach seems to love them...unlike his mommy, and is a bit more cautious...unlike his daddy.  I still think we'll take him in the shower most often but the occasional bath will at least be lots of fun (but, too much work!)

There were too many great pictures!
